Many customers have a concept that having directly business with a manufacture is the best solution and one of the most important reason is that the price is cheaper. This is not always wrong as a manufacturer may provide a cheaper price, though sometimes it’s not true. But does a cheaper price really the ultimate goal for a project?
Through times of cooperation, many customers have been experiencing cost adjustment, continuous quality problems, delayed lead-time, extra and expensive air shipping cost, miscommunications, wrong packaging and labeling, etc. There seems to be never an end, no matter how many visits or conference calls have been made. By saving a little in the beginning, sometimes a customer has a lot to loss later.

What does MES value quality engineer? A quality engineer is a professional who understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. Quality engineers take responsibility for the quality of a company’s products. By working with departmental managers, production staff and suppliers to ensure quality, they aim to minimize the costs of reworking or waste and maximize customer satisfaction with the products.
Quality Standards
Quality engineers establish, implement and maintain quality management systems to measure and control quality in the production process. They work with designers to establish quality standards for individual products and set out the standards in documents and processes for the production team. They may also base their systems on independent standards, such as ISO 9000, which sets out the criteria for a quality management system and enables companies to work towards internationally recognized quality accreditation.
Process
To implement standards, quality engineers develop performance measurements and reporting requirements that set quality metrics for each stage of the production process. They create documentation, such as quality manuals and procedures, and establish requirements for records management, document control and control of electronic data from inspection processes. Quality engineers work with production staff to raise awareness of the importance of quality and train them in quality procedures. They support quality inspectors and provide them with the tools to control quality on the production line.
Improvement
Quality engineers analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective action. They may also take proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems. The aim is to eliminate the causes of quality issues and reduce the risk of failure.
