MES was named a winner of the 2020 Business First Best Places to Work and recognized as a premier organization with several outstanding characteristics of a great workplace. The program recognizes companies and organizations in Central Ohio that are changing the business landscape regarding employee engagement. Employees at each of the companies were surveyed, and their responses ranked by an independent third party, Quantum Workplace. Companies were then scored in areas such as senior leadership, team effectiveness, work recognition, and benefits. The finalist companies are those that rated highest in one of five size categories (micro, small, medium, large, and extra companies).

At MES, we strive to create a challenging yet fun working environments for our employees. We strive to keep our employees motivated and engaged through holiday parties to baby showers to community volunteering events. We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and found it helps with increased productivity, a happier, less stressed workforce, and greater employee loyalty, commitment, and motivation. We keep an open line of communication between associates and our senior leaders. We feel it engenders trust and comfort our employees deserve and need to help resolve conflicts. It also makes it easier for management to step in when necessary to help deal with conflict and provide conflict resolutions.

We truly believe in maintaining a strong internal company culture that defines us as an organization. We start with a clearly defined company vision that provides our associates with a clear image of our goals and what we’re working towards. Another essential trait of our company culture is transparency. We don’t believe in keeping secrets and communicating our expectations. Transparency builds trust between our associates and management. Every month, we have gathered all our associates and global teams for our ‘Metrics Meeting’. This meeting provides our President with an opportunity to share critical metrics, successes, failures, and opportunities to recognize associates for their achievements. Another essential element of our company culture is employee focus.
